Horrors! 7 Birthers Speaking at the Republican National Convention

Too bad none of them are Presidential/Vice Presidential Candidates (there are actually 6 Presidential candidates who challenge AKA “Obama’s” eligibility). Actually, Obot, they are mainly stating that Obama hasn’t established his constitutional eligibility, or that candidates in general should.  Forgeries, assurances, double talk about qualifications, or simply evading questioning don’t cut it.  This WILL be an issue in the election- like it or not.

from FSTV blog and other sites:

Mitt Romney’s invocation of birtherism on Friday took his campaign to a new level of involvement with the bogus idea that President Obama is actually Kenyan-born and therefore ineligible to serve as Commander-in-Chief. But that dog-whistle theory has already been embraced by many major Republicans with whom Romney has long been happy to consort.

Indeed, as Republicans head down to Tampa for their convention next week, they are preparing to see a veritable festival of politicians who have dabbled in — or fully embraced — birtherism.

Here are the members of the birther bunch who will be speaking in Tampa next week:

1. Donald Trump. The famed billionaire/birther king Donald Trump has been the most vociferous — and most closely connected to Romney — person alleging that the President wasn’t born in the United States.

2. Actress Janine Turner. The Northern Exposure star who has her own conservative radio show wrote a long screed titled “Reasoning ‘Kenyan Born.’” In it, she complains that anyone who questions the president’s citizenship is deemed a racist: “If this were a legal case in court, [Obama's] book bio stating that Obama was ‘born in Kenya’ would be taken into consideration.”

3. Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens. During a town hall captured on video(at 3:5), Olens said, “You know the state of Hawaii says he’s produced a certified birth certificate… so on one hand I have to trust the state of Hawaii follows the laws. On the other hand it would be nice for the President to say, here it is, I have a copy.”

4. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. On one radio appearance during Huckabee’s bid for president, the former governor said, “I would love to know more [about where Obama was born]. What I know is troubling enough.” He later walked back the statement.

5. Florida Gov. Rick Scott. In 2010, the Orlando Sentinel reported than an audience member at one of Scott’s campaign events asked “what he would do about President Obama’s ‘birth certificate’ and whether he could legally appear on the 2012 ballot in Florida.” Scott responded, “I’ll have to look into it.”

6. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA). The Vice-Chairman of the House Republican Conference once told reporters “Oh, I’d like to see the documents.”

7. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. Jindal was willing to sign a “birther” bill into law. It would have required all presidential candidates to release their birth certificate in order to qualify for a spot on the state’s ballot.

  1. Interesting…Any neophytes to the eligibility question need a guide to navigate the forest of different and wrong opinions of Nbc. Would Jindal admit to having some trouble meeting the requirements openly?
That must be like first admitting you’re an alcoholic. No one who knows you and wants to help will belittle you and usually respects you for recognizing it.

  2. Maybe , just maybe , the truth will come out at the republican convention sense Sheriff Joe Arpaio was asked to speak to a invitation only gathering of republican representatives . And then you have Donald Trump who has been stating all along he does not believe the fraud obama has a legal US birth certificate to show the American people . Trump will also be there at the convention .

  3. I think your information on Bobby Jindal is inaccurate. As I recall Sen. A.G. Crowe introduced a bill that would have required those who would want to be on the ballot in Louisiana to simply meet the requirements of the constitution. The bill did not pass. To suggest that Jindal would have signed it is ludicrous – he does not meet the natural-born citizen requirement yet he pursued the vice-president slot diligently. He has demonstrated that the constitutional requirement is not important to him.

    • Sure looks that way. Why don’t you post that comment on the source article, too?

  4. GeorgeM, Even on this esteemed and well intentioned site, it is seldom that the simplicity of this matter is brought up. Even if the “Birth Certificate” is 100% true, it only proves that O? is NOT a Natural Born Citizen of the USA. This is just a distraction, Period.

    • Hi Wade:

Looks like you’re clueless about Article II Section 1 of our Constitution and WHY the Founders put it in place.

Your homework assignment before posting here again: Read, digest, understand, discuss:

Also, whether V/C is true or not he has already disclosed that his father was not a citizen, therefore that would make “Barry” not a natural born Citizen.

      • My question, in regards to Wade’s comment is, what is the result if BO’s BC is officially recognized as fraudulent? What is the false component of it? If it is that his father is really Davis, an American citizen, we have nothing disqualifying to hang around his neck. There is no Constitutional eligibility requirement that a BC be presented, or any proof of identity be presented, for that matter, to establish eligibility.

Worst case scenario is that the whole BC is invalidated, So? Well, so far it its the only “official” document that states his father was a foreign national. All other ‘evidence’ to the contrary is in the form of unsubstantiated commentary by other people with some interest in what they claim to know… somewhat less than acceptable documentation to the courts, I would think?

Which leaves us where? Continued pressure on the validity of the BC puts a lot of pressure on the voting public to express its wisdom in a way that will turn the ship of state away from the rocks… the decision of the voters… which I have contended is where the Founders intended much of the stuff of personal character and ability to be evaluated, BUT…

The issue of “Constitutional eligibility” is not intended to be settled at the polls !

        • It has already been officially recognized as fraudulent, by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office. Read te report to find out what the false components are. As far as the content, that’s anyone’s guess. We must be able to vet at a minimum. a certified hard copy, better yet the vault copy and microfilm, since the compounded lies already supplied demand extreme due diligence now.

While there may not be a constitutional requirement to show a birth certificate, there IS a constitutional requirement to be a natural born citizen, so it follows that he should be required by SOS’s and others to prove eligibility if challenged. Instead, Congress has refused to address it, like they did with John McCain and like various states, such as NH and CA did with other candidates in the past. Why should McCain, who is a 5th generation USN officer, be challenged and not Obama?

If his father is Davis, it still needs to be proven. We have plenty to hang around his neck already- forgery fraud, identity theft, lying, usurpation, high crimes and treason committed in office…. would you like me to continue?

          It’s not an “official” anything:
          1. Digital images of birth certificates are not legally recognized
          2. A forgery is not “official” anything.

By all means, keep up and increase the pressure on the phony birth certificate(s), stolen Social Security numbers, forged draft registration, mounting evidence of Kenyan birth, demand exposure of hidden college records, hospital and other health records, school records, travel/passport records, Bar records, work records, arrest/warrant records, etc. Keep up the lawsuits, congressional demands, FBI complaints, robot phone calls to millions of homes, letters, magazine/blog/newspaper articles and reader comments, signs, rallies, talking to everyone, etc.

If officialdom won’t act, then the people will. It’s time for the FINAL PUSH. yes, solving it at the polls won’t fully work, because of awful precedents set, criminal unpunished, etc.

    • As a physician lcniesed in AZ (where I live) and inactive in PA, NJ, and GA (where I don’t practice)I can tell you without doubt that if Obama was born in this country, his attending physician obstetrician/midwife/family practitioner would have to have signed his long form birth certificate. Before my retirement from anesthesiology, I can say that I don’t remember ONE DELIVERY where a baby’s footprint and the attending’s signature was NOT APPLIED. EVERYBODY IN THE USA GETS A LONG-FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE. With the recent revelation that no such form exists according to the former Hawaii Vital Stats worker, this man is a fake, phoney, fraud and must be arrested and shipped to Guantanamo for espionage. His wife must also know the truth as I suspect Axelrod and Emmanuel do too jail for them all! Treasonists!
