Per the Director of Elections

The process for challenging a candidate’s nomination petitions is provided for in Title 21-A.

For primary candidates, the process is found in Title 21-A, section 337. For non-party candidates, it is found in Title 21-1, section 356.

Generally, the deadline to make the challenge is by 5 p.m. on the 5th day after the filing deadline.
