New higher-capacity server and software in place –seems to be working fine–BUT. However, we are experiencing very high usage spikes which are statistically unlikely and are probable attacks. The site has been unavailable several times daily recently- don’t give up on us.
We copied the database earlier to move it onto the new server and warned you that new subscriptions and reader comments entered during that brief transition time might be lost. Looks like that was minimal.
