RINO Colin Powell Disses Republicans, Saves Special Contempt for “Birthers”

Powell reamed the Republicans for all kinds of stuff, some justified, much not. F’rinstance, he criticized GOP’s for demanding voter ID’s and said everyone should be able to vote. Even the UN poll inspectors thought that daft.

He also referred to “birther idiocy,” as if demanding proof of eligibility was stupid, especially in light of the fact that Obama hasn’t produced a shred of proof of even Citizenship, let alone the natural born Citizenship gold standard of presidential eligibility.

He sounds an awful lot like a Democrat to me and even supports the fartherest left wing “President” we have ever had the bad luck to be saddled with.

  1. Just read a message about Mr. Powell. To think that the Republicans had considered asking him to run for president. Most Republicans had a lot of respect for him. He is losing that quickly b/c of all his comments about the Republicans being too conservative. It would appear that Mr. Powell was really a liberal Democrat & was just holding off until he could come out from under his rock.

  2. I am reminded of the opening line to a novel I read many years ago, titled (as I recall) ‘Scaramouche’:

“He was born with the sense that the world was mad.”

I used to think that Colin Powell had some good sense about him. That began to waver for me when he went in front of the UN with some aerial photos and claimed that some vehicles in Iraq were something that there was no way one could believe they were, unless one wanted to. He proved to be nothing but a shill for Bush W. I wondered, from then on, how he felt about having been so sorely used and abused by the NeoCons, and if he would ever confess that he had taken in by them, and apologize for his role in that terrible tragedy of a war. Never heard a word from him about it all.

    And now this…

The man simply has no credibility left. Sad.

But then, he’s not alone, amongst all our political ‘names’ of this generation of such ‘leaders’ who have failed to show any inkling of qualifying to be the subject of a modern-day Profile of Courage.

You are a disgrace to your country, to your oath of office both military and civilian, to your race, and to your potential, Colin. How you live with yourself, and it all, I don’t know. But live with it you have to.

It’s a bed that you made.

  3. His birther comment isn’t much different than the socalled conservative radio host and FoxNews, in fact Preibus said the Birthers where a destraction and Glen Beck said he thought Trump hurt Romney’s campaign. Don’t know who gave us the name “Birther” I’d rather be called “Truther” b/c we are right, we know it, they know it too.

    • I think truther is already taken and has also been demonized.

  4. The fact that they keep bringing it up themselves with derisive denials says they are threatened by the birth issue. But, the typical liberal way to combat something is to poo poo it as nothing while insulting those who seek the truth. If there was truly nothing to it, they wouldn’t spend so much effort on denying it. I wouldn’t.

  5. Colin is just backing up skin color….he played the Republicans for a fool and they fell right into his hands. I hope they’ve learned a lesson from this. Powell is a two facer.
